About Elizabeth Clayton, DO
Elizabeth Clayton DO
Elizabeth Clayton, graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990 and worked as an osteopath for 29 years, initially in Hertfordshire and London. Whilst in London she worked for two years at the highly-acclaimed Osteopathic Centre for Children in Harley Street and also ran her own clinic in a London Sports Centre for 10 years.
In 2001 Elizabeth moved to the West Country and took over the cranial osteopathic practice at Nine Springs Natural Health Centre on Hendford, Yeovil. In June 2017 she stopped working in Yeovil and now works both in Axminster at the Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre, and also on the outskirts of Chardstock, Devon.
Elizabeth retired from the osteopathic register (GOsC) in February 2019, and is now known as a Cranial & Physical Practitoner, working part-time, but in the same way, using the same osteopathic skills and ethics as before.
Elizabeth has a special interest in using the very gentle techniques commonly known as ‘cranial therapy’ or ‘cranial-sacral therapy’. These very gentle holds are applied to the whole body, NOT just the head, and are suitable for treating people of any age from newborn to the elderly.
Elizabeth loves treating children and babies and in her experience find that it is extremely helpful to release tension in babies’ and children’s bodies, making them more comfortable and relaxed.
Elizabeth is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and is a member of the International Cranial Association (ICrA).
