About Elizabeth Clayton, DO
Elizabeth Clayton DO
I, Elizabeth Clayton, graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990 and worked as an osteopath for 29 years, initially in Hertfordshire and London. Whilst in London I worked for two years at the highly-acclaimed Osteopathic Centre for Children in Harley Street and also ran my own clinic in a London Sports Centre for 10 years.
In 2001 I moved to the West Country and took over the cranial osteopathic practice at Nine Springs Natural Health Centre on Hendford, Yeovil. In June 2017 I stopped working in Yeovil and now I work both in Axminster at the Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre, and also on the outskirts of Chardstock, Devon.
I retired from the osteopathic register (GOsC) in February 2019, and am now known as a Cranial & Physical Practitoner, working part-time, but in the same way, using the same skills and ethics as before.
I have a special interest in using the very gentle techniques commonly known as ‘cranial therapy’ or ‘cranial-sacral therapy’. These very gentle holds are applied to the whole body, NOT just the head, and are suitable for treating people of any age from newborn to the elderly.
I love treating children and babies and in my experience find that it is extremely helpful to release tension in babies’ and children’s bodies.
I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and I am a member of the International Cranial Association (ICrA).
